Attendance

Daily attendance is important for your child’s success. The state mandates that students

must attend school the entire year and excessive absences may affect student promotion to the

next grade level. We understand that your child may need to stay home due to illnesses. If your

child is absent, please send a note explaining the reason for the absence. The note must include

date, reason for absence, child’s full name, and parent’s signature. If your child is absent for three

or more days, please contact the school and send a doctor’s note. Excused absences are those due

to student illness, death in the family, or family emergency. Absences are considered unexcused

until a note is sent or if the excuse does not fall under the above excuses. Early pickup will be

considered in attendance.
